EDUCATION

Educational buildings are the main centers for the emergence and establishment of young generations. in Afniah, we believe in the necessity of turning education buildings into attractive environments for all age groups, and that its role is not limited to transferring knowledge and indoctrination, but rather attracting students’ attention, raising the efficiency of the educational process, enhancing student participation in the educational process, and raising the level of connection between the school and home. We believe that educational culture should not be limited to going to school, but rather be part of an integrated system between home, school, local culture, and learning by fun & practice. In Afniah, we take pride in our contribution to the design of educational buildings for more than 15 years, with an ambition focusing on raising the quality and efficiency of educational buildings, through the design of many prestigious educational projects in which we seek to develop the internal educational environment. Despite the improvement in the quality of educational outcomes during the last few years, the designs of our schools still need study and development to ensure keeping pace the latest educational outcomes. Especially the public education sector, it suffers from monotony and repetition of design models, without taking into account the relationship between educational groups and school facilities as a whole. The design models for schools lack refined space designs, air quality, movement axes, natural lighting and the concept of quality of life. At Afniah, we devoted many of our Engineering department hours into research and study of educational systems and how to improve it through experiments, as we are keen to be part of framing a newer, sturdier way of life in educational buildings. We are bridging the aspects that we believe have not been well connected into our schools, aspired by the will to enhance and develop the engineering outputs of education buildings, whether at the level of the spatial and functional program for educational facilities, or at the level of the educational system’s relationship with the engineering design outputs.
