We think at Afniah to develop economic models of mosques for the daily prayers, which contain all the services and functions required including one accommodation for the imam and another for the muezzin. In addition, there is a need to focus on the building of the mosque to be proportional with relation to the surrounding residential environment. The objective was to replicate such a model with the possibility of enlarging the prayer hall by enclosing its outer galleries, while changing the exterior according to the local privacy of the mosque’s surroundings. This model can be replicated throughout different regions of the Kingdom, to resemble changing forms yet the same function.
